Chrome Freezing When Trying to Print

  1. 1. Backup the user's bookmarks and ap


       2. Open up Control Panel and uninstall Chrome


  1. 3. Navigate to C:\Users\firstname.lastname\AppData\Local\Google

  • If you can't find AppData, click View at the top left of the window, and at the right check the box for "Hidden Items"

 

  1. 4. Delete everything in this folder or delete the entire Google folder in that directory

 

  1. 5. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\

  • Delete everything in this folder or delete the entire Google folder in that directory

 

  1. 6. Restart device

 

After these steps, the user should be able to print without Chrome crashing anymore.


Chrome may not automatically re-install after the restart. If it does not, remote back in/stay remoted in to the user's computer, open Edge, search for and download Chrome, and then install it. Make sure the Extensions are setup correctly (LastPass pinned, Windows Accounts logged in), and Chrome is set back to the default web browser.
